Jamaal Charles lively for Chiefs against Patriots

The Chiefs are finding a boost when they want it most with the New England Patriots in town.

Jamaal Charles is active for Kansas City’s match Monday night at Arrowhead Stadium. An ankle injury forced the running back to miss last week’s 34-15 victory over the Miami Dolphins, with Knile Davis taking 32 carries for 132 yards along with a touchdown in Charles’ lack.

Charles has taken the ball only nine times for 23 yards in the 2014 season.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs will likely be without safety Eric Berry (ankle) and running back DeAnthony Thomas (hamstring), who are both inactive.

High school football player gives epic postgame interview

Just four words are essential to spell out this recent interview with Apollos Hester, a high school running back for the East View (Texas) Patriots:

Best. Postgame. Interview. Ever.

Who knows if this child can in fact play football, but if we are a college team, we had recruit him as a halftime motivational speaker.

Raiders" Matt Schaub (non-injury associated) out Week 3

The Raiders will likely be without the back-up services of Matt Schaub on Sunday.

The 33-year old quarterback is out for Oakland’s Week 3 competition from the New England Patriots to get a non-harm associated rationale. He was a late add to the team’s injury report. Schaub traveled to Boston together with the team but had an emergency come up, per Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Besides starting signal caller Derek Carr, Matt McGloin is the sole other QB in the Raiders’ roll.

Vikings deactivate Adrian Peterson forever

Upon further thought, the Minnesota Vikings have determined running back Adrian Peterson is not going to stay an active person in the group during his present legal problem.

Less than two days after activating Peterson for Sunday’s match in New Orleans, the Vikings reversed course by releasing a statement early Wednesday describing that Peterson is likely to be put in the Exempt/Commissioner’s Permission list. Which will need Peterson to stay away from all team tasks while he takes care of his legal proceedings.

Peterson was deactivated for last week’s loss to the New England Patriots after being indicted on a charge of dangerous or negligent harm to your kid. Your decision to activate Peterson for this week came under significant criticism, including a call in the governor of Minnesota to suspend Peterson.

The statement suggests that Peterson will remain deactivated until his legal proceedings are solved. Peterson comes with an initial hearing for his charges on October 8. The Montgomery County District Attorney suggested formerly a trial was not likely until 2015.

Report: Adrian Peterson accused of injuring another son in 2013

KHOU-TV in Houston reported Monday night that Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was accused of injuring another son in June 2013. According to the report, Peterson supposedly disciplined his son for "cussing into a sib," resulting in a injury to the 4-year old boy’s head.

The boy’s mother allegedly filed a report with Texas Child Protective Services. The outcomes of any investigation are uncertain and no charges have now been filed in the case. NFL Media hasn’t yet had the opportunity to reach the Vikings or Peterson’s lawyer for opinion.

Peterson was indicted Friday on a charge of dangerous or negligent harm to your child — another 4-year old son — and faces up to a couple of years in prison as well as a $10,000 fine if convicted. He flew to Texas and turned himself in early Saturday morning to the Montgomery County (Texas) Sheriff’s Office and was launched after posting a $15,000 bond.

The Vikings deactivated Peterson for Sunday’s match from the New England Patriots, but the team announced Monday that the 29-year old was activated and certainly will completely practice this week. He’s likely to play against the New Orleans Saints in Week 3.

Tom Brady still driven entering 15th NFL season with Patriots

You know the expression, "What do you get the man who has everything?" Well, in my world, the question is often, "What do you ask the man who’s been asked virtually everything?"

With that challenge in mind, I asked New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady to finish this sentence: Without football, my life is …

Before you read on for Brady’s answer, give yourself a moment to contemplate his possible response.
