Verrett’s availability is crucial for the Chargers as they confront Peyton Manning and the Broncos’ powerful aerial assault, particularly considering that San Diego will be without expert corner Brandon Flowers.
The first-round pick out of TCU is impressive thus far in his rookie effort. He’s compiled 18 tackles and one interception this year.
